Originally founded in 1913, Aston Martin is a British manufacturer of luxury sports cars now based at a former V-bomber airfield at Gaydon in Warwickshire, with service and restoration at its former home of Newport Pagnell. The company name is derived from the Aston Hill speed hill-climb, near Aston Clinton in Buckinghamshire, and one of the company founders, Lionel Martin, who raced specials there.

Aston Martin is probably most famous for its DB range of classic high performance sports cars which originated in 1950 after David Brown had bought the company in 1947 (hence the initials DB). These cars have worldwide renown from their long association with James Bond films – since the DB5 first featured in Goldfinger (1964) and with various DB models appearing in eight other 007 movies since, including the DBS in Quantum of Solace.

• Aston Martin opens automotive luxury address in Vienna - Frankfurt am Main / Vienna, 19th April 2012. Luxury sports car maker Aston Martin is moving into what becomes its largest European dealership in a chic new address in Vienna. After the British Luxury Cars GmbH, a division of Frey Austria, had took on the role of official distributor of the British sports car brand in Austria last summer they are now moving into their stunning new premises in Vienna.
• Aston Martin Verona Inaugurates New Showroom - Frankfurt am Main / Verona, 18th April 2012. Aston Martin has now formally welcomed the city of Verona into the brand’s global network, opening the doors of its first showroom there in partnership with the Benati Group. • Aston Martin Announces New Dealership in Washington DC - 5 April 2012, Irvine CA – Aston Martin is set to add to the company’s dealership reach across North America, opening a new dedicated showroom in Washington DC in partnership with AM of Washington DC, LLC.
• ASTON MARTIN RACING RAMPS UP VANTAGE GT3 TEST PROGRAMME - Gaydon, 20 February 2012. Aston Martin Racing’s new V12-powered Vantage GT3 successfully completed a three-day endurance test at Gaudix in Spain last week.
• ASTON MARTIN RACING CONFIRMS LE MANS AND FIA WORLD ENDURANCE CHAMPIONSHIP PROGRAMMES - Gaydon, 24 February 2012 – Aston Martin Racing will embark upon an exciting new challenge in 2012 as it prepares to make a return to international GT motorsport in the FIA World Endurance Championship. The team will campaign a V8-powered Vantage in the GTE Pro category of the eight round series, which spans three continents. At the third round of the championship, the 24 Hours of Le Mans, Aston Martin Racing will field a second works Vantage GTE.
• ASTON MARTIN TO OPEN FOUR NEW DEALERSHIPS IN ITALY IN 2012 - Frankfurt am Main / Milan, 1st March 2012. Just ahead of the International Geneva Motor Show, British sports car manufacturer Aston Martin has announced rapid expansion plans for Italy. Adding to its two established dealerships in Bologna and Milan, two new locations in Udine and Verona have just opened with Rome and Bari to follow later this year.
