Additional Information::

The Nissan Motor Company was founded in 1934 and initially marketed vehicles under the Datsun brand name, which first appeared in 1914 with DAT Motors, (DAT being based on three family name initials). Nissan had taken control of DAT Motors in 1933 and the Nissan name originated from a Tokyo stock market abbreviation for Nippon Sangyo, a holding company first formed in 1928.

Nissan is now one of the largest global car manufacturers and has had numerous technological alliances with other major car companies such as Renault, Ford and Toyota. The Nissan range encompasses all shapes, sizes and sectors – from the baby Micra to large 4x4’s – but is perhaps best known in motorsport for the legendary GT-R model.
