Aston Martin’s Vantage safety car is technically upgraded from the original road-going version of the sportscar - but has now been released as a bespoke F1 model.

The 4-litre turbo V8 pumps out 535PS (528hp) – which is 25PS more than the basic road going car. This gives it an acceleration figure of 0-60mph in 3.5 seconds

With an added front splitter and vaned grille, the Vantage creates 155.6kg of downforce at 200km/h, which is 60kg more than the production car creates at the same speed.

The safety car also features upgraded suspension, steering and dampers, as well as bracing modifications to help with front structural stiffness.

It features its flashing light panel in the more traditional position on top of the roof.

      Ferrari F488 GTB

The Ferrari 488's bodywork has been meticulously crafted to achieve a 50% surge in downforce compared to the 458, all the while diminishing aerodynamic drag at the front, a novel dual splitter serves a dual purpose: not only does it enhance radiator cooling by forcibly directing air into them, but it also expertly guides the airflow over the underbody vortex generators, generating ground effects without tacking on undesirable drag. Moving to the rear, a fresh rear spoiler (which can be described as a slotted flap) has been seamlessly integrated into the rear decklid and bumper. This innovative design elevates downforce performance without necessitating the use of a raised wing situated centrally, the "Aero Pillar" masterfully redirects air beneath the car's flat body, and two vents positioned in the bonnet serve as outlets for air from the front bumper's dual intakes. This ingenious arrangement further mitigates air pressure over the car's frontal area. Select your experience here

A Lamborghini SUV? Really? Well, yes, and actually, the Lamborghini Urus isn’t the Italian firm’s first, either. That was the LM002 launched back in the mid-Eighties, which had the power, but not the handling to go with it, preferring to be off-road instead.

The Lamborghini Urus, on the other hand, is very much a road machine. The LM002, then, is a bit like rugged, outdoor-friendly Columbia clothing, where the Urus is more like Adidas’s Y-3 brand, which puts equal emphasis on style and performance.

The safety car with the three-pointed star has been a constant feature for 26 years now, and during that time, high-performance models, including the Mercedes-Benz CL 55 AMG, the Mercedes-Benz C 36 AMG and the spectacular SLS AMG gullwing specially developed by Mercedes-AMG, have all been utilised.

2022 F1 season is now set to mark a premiere when the Mercedes-AMG GT Black Series (fuel consumption combined: 12.8 l/100 km, CO2 emissions combined: 292 g/km)¹  leads the field as the safety car.

At the same time, the Mercedes-AMG GT 63 S 4MATIC+ (fuel consumption combined: 13.5-13.0 l/100 km, CO2 emissions combined: 308-295 g/km)¹  will make its debut as the medical car. These two F1 safety vehicles about to be deployed this season will be the most powerful ever used and will sport the same distinctive red livery as last year. View experiences here

Just had our annual day at Elvington with my two sons in law on Friday 30th Aug and once again what a day, I was always a fan of the R8 or Porsche 911 but Claire took me out in a Ferrari 458 and what an experience WOW it just blew me away and Claire was the best instructor Ive had giving me expert advice all the way around.
I booked double the distance and would recommend it because you just feel more confident each lap.
Well done Everyman, the staff and more importantly the cars were all great, see younexy year I hope.

                51. Jess Darkens

I had the three car driving experience yesterday and had the most amazing experience. I was really nervous as I was on my own and felt pretty intimidated being surrounded by loads of blokes. Every member of staff I spoke to on the day was brilliant. The lady I spoke to to sign in was fantastic and most likely sensing my nerves decided to shift my itinerary around so I was with the instructor Nick who I’m assuming takes the nervous drivers as he was super comforting and lovely! The staff found out I was also on my own and I felt they made a real effort to be warm and friendly with me and make me laugh to make me more relaxed. My first car was ferrari, then lamborghini then nissan. Every car I got more confident and after beating my nerves I really got to enjoy driving some amazing cars and finally made it past 100 mph! Simon and Jules the other instructors were just as brilliant. I can’t sing the staff’s praises high enough for making it such a great experience.

                52. Elaine

I had a fab day. the instructors were very good. The drive in the cars was amazing. I would definitely recommend the experience if you love to drive. O also got to have some fab photos taken. Brilliant! Thank you!!

                53. Mick Brennan

This was a Christmas pressure from my son 3 super cars to drive and wow what an experience. This is a must for all car petrol heads . The instructors are great and show you how to get the best out of each car. And I highly recommend getting your driving experience recorded watching it back when I got home was brilliant.i had the Audi R8 so responsive, then it was the Lamborghini gallardo super fast and great handling.then a Ferrari which I wished I had of upgraded to the Maclaren but hey next time lol. But highly recommend this experience to everyone male or female.

                54. Nick Tate

Had a great day and the cars were amazing. I went in the Lamborghini, GTR and Aston Martin. I found the staff at Dunsfold to be really friendly, particularly the support drivers. I was able to take my 5 year old daughter on the high speed lap, which she loved. As others have said though “it’s cold”! If it’s at all chilly when you leave home, it’ll be freezing at the track, so wrap up and take layers! My only slight complaint, is that the organisation could be better. There is a lot of waiting around, which feels unnecessary at times. A simple deli-style ticketing system would be better I think. Will definitely go again though.
