The DB11 succeeds the DB9 as Aston Martin’s flagship V12 GT, taking on cars like the Mercedes-AMG S65 Coupe, Bentley GTC and Ferrari F12. Aston’s DB lineage, named after one-time owner David Brown, stretches right back to 1950 and includes the iconic DB5 of Goldfinger fame. But the DB11 is the first all-new one since 2003. And if you’re wondering what happened to DB10, that was reserved for a special re-bodied V8 Vantage used in 2015’s Bond film, Spectre.  Select your experience here

The Aston Martin DB5 is one of the world's best-known cars. First released in 1963 but it became even more iconic after it was driven by James Bond in the 1964 film Goldfinger. Arguably the most visually appealing Aston Martin in the range, the Vantage is a taut mix of muscularity and Aston’s traditional elegance. It works very well too, with the squat, purposeful proportions conveying the obvious sporting intent. Select your experience here

Aston Martin’s Vantage safety car is technically upgraded from the original road-going version of the sportscar - but has now been released as a bespoke F1 model.

The 4-litre turbo V8 pumps out 535PS (528hp) – which is 25PS more than the basic road going car. This gives it an acceleration figure of 0-60mph in 3.5 seconds

With an added front splitter and vaned grille, the Vantage creates 155.6kg of downforce at 200km/h, which is 60kg more than the production car creates at the same speed.

The safety car also features upgraded suspension, steering and dampers, as well as bracing modifications to help with front structural stiffness.

It features its flashing light panel in the more traditional position on top of the roof.

But what the R8 yields in flash, it makes up for in the cohesive design. The angular body is one of the most futuristic shapes ever to roll off a production line. While some supercars can be confused as “some new Ferrari or Lamborghini,” the R8 is almost immediately recognized as an Audi. That’s because Audi’s latest models are all characterized by piercing LED headlights and taillights, ornate wheel designs, and angular bodies. Select your experience here

Ferrari may have been founded on a series of V12-powered cars, but some of its most successful models were those fitted with a mid-rear-mounted V8. And so it is with the Ferrari 458 Italia – the name meaning 4.5-litres and eight cylinders, with Italia thrown it at the end in homage to its home country. It was hailed by none other than Jeremy Clarkson as one of the most beautiful Ferraris ever made. Select your experience here

The Ferrari 488's bodywork has been meticulously crafted to achieve a 50% surge in downforce compared to the 458, all the while diminishing aerodynamic drag at the front, a novel dual splitter serves a dual purpose: not only does it enhance radiator cooling by forcibly directing air into them, but it also expertly guides the airflow over the underbody vortex generators, generating ground effects without tacking on undesirable drag. Moving to the rear, a fresh rear spoiler (which can be described as a slotted flap) has been seamlessly integrated into the rear decklid and bumper. This innovative design elevates downforce performance without necessitating the use of a raised wing situated centrally, the "Aero Pillar" masterfully redirects air beneath the car's flat body, and two vents positioned in the bonnet serve as outlets for air from the front bumper's dual intakes. This ingenious arrangement further mitigates air pressure over the car's frontal area. Select your experience here
