The Audi R8 V8 road car is a refined take on the everyday supercar – effortlessly quick, perfectly balanced, and unmistakably Audi. With a mid-mounted V8 engine and quattro all-wheel drive, it delivers smooth, linear power with the kind of grip and control that gives you real confidence behind the wheel. It’s responsive, composed, and finished with the comfort and quality you’d expect from a luxury German marque. The R8 V8 is a supercar you can drive every day—but don’t let its civility fool you. It still delivers a proper thrill every time you press the accelerator.

Then, there’s the Audi R8 V10 GT race car—a completely different beast. Stripped of road-going comforts and equipped with a full GT cockpit, roll cage, and racing slicks, this version of the R8 is built for the track, and the track only. Inside, it’s all function over form. Once you hit the tarmac, the car comes alive with raw intensity. Every input matters. You’ll feel the vibration of the V10 through your seat, the stiffness of the suspension, and the brutal stopping power of race-spec brakes. It’s focused, demanding, and utterly exhilarating. This is Audi’s performance heritage unleashed.

This experience gives the recipient the chance to get into the driver’s seat of both vehicles for 3 miles of driving in each.

Our fully qualified instructors will really get your adrenaline pumping as they coach you and push you to your limits. After you’ve driven, we will show you how it is done as you embark on an adrenaline filled high-speed ride, with one of our professionals at the wheel of a performance saloon.

 

Here’s what your experience will include:

✔️ Welcome introduction and sign in with our team to collect your itinerary

✔️ Drivers briefing with an experienced and qualified instructor (subject to venue – some venues will offer an ‘in car’ briefing)

✔️ Demonstration laps in a saloon car to show you the breaking points, acceleration points and racing lines of your chosen circuit

✔️ 3 miles driving the Audi R8 V8 or V10 road car

✔️ 3 miles driving the Audi R8 GT spec Race Car

✔️ 1 lap high-speed passenger ride in a performance saloon

✔️ The option to view or purchase professional photographs taken whilst you have been driving

✔️ Receive a certificate to commemorate your driving experience (collect from our media desk)

 

Please note there is a Premium Circuit surcharge for some locations. All dates and venues are subject to availability. You must hold a full driving licence to do this experience.

Minimum ageThe minimum age to participate in a driving experience is 17 years old (individuals under the age of 18 need parental/guardian consent)
Minimum heightThe minimum height to participate in a driving experience is 4ft 10in.
Maximum heightThe maximum height to participate in a driving experience is 6ft 4in. (Please contact us to discuss your options regarding this)
Maximum weightThe maximum weight to participate in a driving experience is 20 stone. (Please contact us to discuss your options regarding this)
Driving licenceAll participants must hold a full valid driving licence and must have this present with them on the day the event is taking place. (International licences are accepted)
CommunicationAll participants must have a good basic understanding of the English language and must be able to understand basic hand manoeuvres.
ClothingAppropriate clothing and footwear must be worn at all times during the event.
HealthParticipants must be in good health and must wear glasses if required.
DrinkingIndividuals who are under the influence of alcohol or drugs will not be permitted to participate. The Event Managers decision is final.
VouchersVouchers hold a 12-month validity period unless otherwise stated.
Expiration dateExperiences must be booked and taken before the expiry date of the voucher.
Book aheadWe ask that you book a minimum of 8 weeks in advance so we can give the best availability of venues and vehicles.
CancellationCancellation cover can be purchased separately, this covers you in the instance of death in the immediate family, breakdown on the way to an event or illness on the day.
AvailabilityAll experiences are subject to availability with regards to vehicles, dates and venues.
WeatherWe still operate during adverse weather; however we hold the right to cancel an experience if the weather is too severe.
SpectatorsSpectators are welcome at all our venues.
Under 16sIndividuals under the age of 16 must be accompanied by an adult at all times.
Our datesMost experiences are available February to November.
Indemnity waiverWhen attending an experience with ourselves you are fully insured to drive our cars, however you may be liable for the excess payment if any claim needs to be made due to damage to the vehicles. It is advised that participants purchase an indemnity waiver that is offered to them at the time of booking and on the day.

          Kendrew Barracks, formerly known as RAF Cottesmore, has a rich history dating back to 1938 when it first became an operational Royal Air Force base. Its expansive runway played a significant role in aviation history, hosting the final flight of the iconic Harrier Jump Jet. Between 1943 and 1945, it also served as a base for the United States Air Force.

          The was named in honour of Major General Sir Douglas Kendrew, a former pupil at Uppingham School who served in the Royal Leicestershire Regiment. Major General Kendrew was one of only 11 officers in the Army to be awarded the Distinguished Service Order, known as the DSO, four times. The order is awarded for highly successful command and leadership during active operations.

          Following its formal closing ceremony in 2012, Kendrew Barracks transitioned to its current role as a satellite facility for RAF Wittering, located in Peterborough. Today, it is home to the British Army’s East of England Multi-Role Brigade.

          With it’s very long runway Kendrew Barracks is one of our most coveted venues to drive in the UK.
