Become Ari Vatanen as you get behind the wheel of the iconic rally classic the Escort Mark II with its instantly recognisable livery by sponsor Rothmans.

Despite the introduction of the new MkIII Ford Escort in 1980, this MkII Escort was actually built by David Sutton Motorsport for Ari Vatanen to drive in the 1981 RAC Rally. Vatanen’s second place in that event, combined with wins in the Acropolis Rally, Rally of Brazil and the 1000 Lakes Rally.

Our rear-wheel-drive Ford Escort is a strong recreation of one of the most successful rally cars ever. MkI Escorts with Lotus twin-cam engines started winning World Championship events in 1968 and, despite the arrival of sophisticated four-wheel-drive cars, its successor was still competitive in 1981.

Minimum age	The minimum age to participate in a driving experience is 17 years old (individuals under the age of 18 need parental/guardian consent)
Minimum height	The minimum height to participate in a driving experience is 4ft 10in.
Maximum height	The maximum height to participate in a driving experience is 6ft 4in. (Please contact us to discuss your options regarding this)
Maximum weight	The maximum weight to participate in a driving experience is 20 stone. (Please contact us to discuss your options regarding this)
Driving licence	All participants must hold a full valid driving licence and must have this present with them on the day the event is taking place. (International licences are accepted)
Communication	All participants must have a good basic understanding of the English language and must be able to understand basic hand manoeuvres.
Clothing	Appropriate clothing and footwear must be worn at all times during the event.
Health	Participants must be in good health and must wear glasses if required.
Drinking	Individuals who are under the influence of alcohol or drugs will not be permitted to participate. The Event Managers decision is final.
Vouchers	Vouchers hold a 12-month validity period unless otherwise stated.
Expiration date	Experiences must be booked and taken before the expiry date of the voucher.
Book ahead	We ask that you book a minimum of 8 weeks in advance so we can give the best availability of venues and vehicles.
Cancellation	Cancellation cover can be purchased separately, this covers you in the instance of death in the immediate family, breakdown on the way to an event or illness on the day.
Availability	All experiences are subject to availability with regards to vehicles, dates and venues.
Weather	We still operate during adverse weather; however we hold the right to cancel an experience if the weather is too severe.
Spectators	Spectators are welcome at all our venues.
Under 16s	Individuals under the age of 16 must be accompanied by an adult at all times.
Our dates	Most experiences are available February to November.
Indemnity waiver	When attending an experience with ourselves you are fully insured to drive our cars, however you may be liable for the excess payment if any claim needs to be made due to damage to the vehicles. It is advised that participants purchase an indemnity waiver that is offered to them at the time of booking and on the day.
