Presently scheduled to commence on June 10th, 2023, with a new 24-hour race champion emerging by the 11th. The centenary of the Le Mans 24-Hour Race begins on June 1st with practice sessions . These sessions will determine the final race lineup through a series of qualifying rounds.

Furthermore, the Le Mans 24-Hour Race features cars competing in four distinct categories: Hypercar, LM P2, LM GTE AM, and CDNT. Among these, the Hypercars are aerodynamic marvels, riding low to the ground for maximum speed and endurance.
Additionally, with Le Mans being one of the grandest spectacles in the racing calendar, tickets are already sold out. Showcasing the epitome of racing and automotive engineering it attracts teams and manufacturers from all corners of the globe. This year, six renowned manufacturers, including Cadillac, Ferrari, Glickenhaus, Peugeot, Porsche, and Toyota, have entered their Hypercars, each aiming for victory.
In a special tribute to the centenary milestone, the Automobile Club de l’Ouest, has partnered with France’s oldest institution, the Monnaie de Paris, to create a brand new trophy. This unique trophy will commemorate the 100-year history of the Le Mans race. Thus, adding to the prestige and significance of the event.

Moreover, the Hollywood film “Ford v Ferrari”, depicts the legendary story of the Ford GT40’s triumph in 1966. The movie stars Christian Bale and Matt Damon, who portray real-life figures involved in the historic victory.
The Ford GT40 was a significant collaboration between Ford and Carroll Shelby. Their aim was to create a sports car capable of defeating the dominant Ferrari team. In 1966, with Ken Miles, Bruce McLaren and Dick Hutcherson completing the Ford GT40 team, they achieved an extraordinary 1-2-3 finish overall. The Ford GT40 securing all three podium spots.
