Presently scheduled to commence on June 10th, 2023, with a new 24-hour race champion emerging by the 11th. The centenary of the Le Mans 24-Hour Race begins on June 1st with practice sessions . These sessions will determine the final race lineup through a series of qualifying rounds.

In a special tribute to the centenary milestone, the Automobile Club de l’Ouest, has partnered with France’s oldest institution, the Monnaie de Paris, to create a brand new trophy. This unique trophy will commemorate the 100-year history of the Le Mans race. Thus, adding to the prestige and significance of the event.

The Ford GT40 was a significant collaboration between Ford and Carroll Shelby. Their aim was to create a sports car capable of defeating the dominant Ferrari team.
