The new Aston Martin DB9 gets styling cues from the Virage, and retains the 6.0-litre V12 but now in 510bhp tune. So has it moved on enough to justify its £132k+ price and rationalise the Aston range? Book your experience here

There’s an overwhelming sense of Britishness about the second-generation Bentley Continental GT convertible, from the imposing-yet-svelte styling to an interior swathed with lashings of leather and charm. It’s luxurious but in a nevertheless slightly quaint manner. Such is Bentley’s combination of spaciousness (relatively speaking), performance and refinement, it has few direct rivals. Select your experience here

The Ford Escort Mk1 has proven to be an iconic classic, for its simplicity, neat appearance and excellent performance and economy (more so in the larger-engined cars) meant it became Ford's best-selling car in the UK behind the Cortina. Featuring in the Fast & Furious 6 film, with Paul Walker, this car is even more spectacular, with it's wide-body stance and custom paint job, not to mention the more powerful 2-litre red-top engine. Book your experience here

Front engined with a choice of three engines, it is exclusively rear-wheel drive. From looks to on-road behaviour, Jaguar has designed and built this car for one purpose: performance. The interior is completely driver-focused, and the response of the steering, throttle, engine and gear changes are all designed to engage the driver in the whole experience. Select your experience here

At launch the McLaren 570S represented a toe dipped into new waters, it’s the forerunner of McLaren’s everyday Sports Series line up - from a manufacturer historically linked with high-performance supercars. This is a seriously fast machine, it is powered by the 3.8-litre V8 used in all McLarens. It has two turbochargers, which help deliver a surge of acceleration in the middle of the rev range.  Select your experience here

The rear-wheel-drive Ford Escort Mark II was actually built for Ari Vatanen to drive in the 1981 RAC Rally and was classed as one of the most successful rally cars ever. MkI Escorts with Lotus twin-cam engines started winning World Championship events in 1968 and, despite the arrival of sophisticated four-wheel-drive cars, its successor was still competitive in 1981. Book your experience here
